Biography
Mark first started playing piano at age 7 and did his early piano grades. From there he learnt the guitar, the bass and started playing in bands (early/mid 80s) playing rock, punk, funk and pop music.
At age 20 Mark first entered the music business professionally as one half of ground breaking band NJOI ( www.n-joi.com ) in 1990. He was the primary writer of their global hit single “Anthem” which entered the UK charts at No 8 and went straight to Number 1 in the US Billboard Dance chart.
NJOI went on to have many more chart hits which lead to ‘Top Of The Pops’ performances.
They had 5 top 10 tracks on the US Billboard Dance Chart including another No1 ( Mindflux ), a World tour and did a UK tour with The Prodigy. They are signed to Sony Music and published by Sony Music Publishing.
NJOI – ‘Anthem’ is now recognised as one of ‘House Music’s Finest Releases’ as said by Defected Records / Industry and fans. Mixmag claim it to be ‘One of the 20 best Piano House Tracks ever !’
Throughout the late 90s Mark produced and remixed under many names which gained him lots of support on the UK Hard House scene from many Djs including legendary Tony De Vit , Pete Wardman and labels like Tripoli Trax , Metropolitan and Shift Recordings.
Today – Mark works from his digital / analogue hybrid studio. He has continued writing, producing and remixing for various well known labels and artists (i.e. Annie Lennox, Alexandra Burke, Livin` Joy, Republica, Hysteric Ego ). He has made countless dance tracks under different guises and had two top 40 hits in Germany.
Since 2004 Mark has actively been writing music for TV and film. He has had many SYNCs and music placements.
